[Khmer Times] Ministry of Labour and KOSHA meet to review the progress of the construction process of occupational safety and health training centre

Dr. Huy Hansong, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, chaired a meeting with representatives of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) and Youngwoo’s representatives at the Ministry’s office on April 23, 2024. 


The purpose of this meeting is to review the progress of the construction process of the Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre (OSHTC) and the project of setting up, installing, and equipping the facilities and equipment in the centre building.

On that occasion, the two sides made a presentation on the progress of the construction of the Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre (OSHTC), which achieved 60%, and project support activities, including the development of a legal framework to support the effective implementation of official development projects (ODA).

At the same time, the Cambodian side also mentioned the progress of the drafting of OSH and proclamations that support the implementation of this law. At the end of the meeting, the Cambodian side thanked the Korean side for its continuous support for the implementation of occupational safety and health in Cambodia in the past, which has contributed to the prevention and reduction of occupational accidents.

After the meeting, Dr. Huy Hansong, Secretary of State, and Ahn Jongjoo, President of KOSHA, also signed an agreement on the implementation of projects related to the establishment of occupational safety and health centres.
